At four months pregnant, and planning a move soon after the birth, I thought it best to plan things out, and work on being more frugal. It can be done. Everything was discussed with Henry, and he's all for it. Someday, we'll be able to work things out and do as we please, but with a baby on the way, time to tighten our belts!
Our goal is to cut costs where we can, and keep saving money! Plain and simple.
*We don't want to owe anything on our 1 credit card at the end of the month. Pay off what we spend.
*We're going to use Henry's discounts where we can (e.g. Discount on cell phone bills) This is because I realize we can't live without our cell phones- ok, I can't live without mine, nor can I go to a cheaper plan. It won't happen, and I'm not going to suffer!
*Live more within our means. This means cutting out all those extras we're so fond of. (For example, lately we've watched plenty of movies on TV, but we're just not using as much of our Netflix, so we're going from $29.99/month to the $13.99/month plan! Voila!!! I've just saved $13.00 a month!)
* Grocery goal: $50/week and $50/month in toiletries. We're using many different plans to do this. I KNOW it can be done. Examples of this are numerous, and I know I can make it happen. I'm using the stockpile vs. need method. Those items I can buy in bulk and save, I'll be glad to do so. My next post will give my list of stockpile vs. need!
* Cutting down on our little trips out. We're big on going out to eat. If we only go out every 2 weeks, we'll be cutting down on about 3 nights a week, and we'll be doing just great!
