Every now and then, I am able to pull out one of my moms old recipes and use it for my happiness. Tonight, it was Cornflake Potatoes. So simple and easy. Microwave potatoes for 7-8 minutes. Peel and wedge potatoes. Melt butter, and coat potato in butter. Crush corn flakes in bag. Coat Potato in crushed corn flakes. Lay on baking sheet. Sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Bake at 400* for 20 minutes.

Henry & I aren't too big on totally planning menus, but instead, we plan dinners for the week, and eat those meals as we feel!

So plan for next week:

*Hamburgers (served with chips and veggies, both which we have in our home)
*Stir Fry Chicken & Rice
*Mac Chicken Cacciatore
(Which I found on Tightwads with Triplets! Blog for less than $3 total)
*Fiesta Chicken (Which I found using our Luckies/Grads cook-blog)
*Spaghetti

We'll be out of town Sunday and Monday, visiting family. We always get plenty of left overs from Spaghetti, which we can take from our 2 meals for dinner and use leftovers to make 6 meals. That's 2 nights of work dinners for each of us. I only work 3 days a week, Henry 4 days, so that's half his week and most of mine just from spaghetti.

I'm still up in the air on the Grocery Game. I think I'll try it for a few weeks without, and see if I need to use it. I did find coupons.com where I can clip and print coupons, and there's always the local paper for coupons as well! And last but not least, I've made up 2 lists, 1 of my stockpile, and a 2nd that is my groceries that I NEED next week.

Stockpile (items in BLACK I need) and (items in RED I'll get if on sale):
Shampoo
Conditioner
Paper Towels
Pepsi
Toilet Paper
Deodorant
Cream of Mushroom Soup
Canned Tomatoes
Toothpaste

Sponges
Juice

Groceries:
Hamburger X3
Chicken X2
Bananas
Zuchini
Lettuce
Tomato
Tortilla Chips
Black Beans
Salsa
Cheese

As I get the chance, I'd love to buy some Toaster Strudels, Frozen Pancakes, Brownie Mix, Cake Mix, Muffin Mix. But of course, they'll have to be ON SALE. Those are the little extras that I CAN live without. Of course, as a preggo, I really think that all those are necessary, but my budget-friendly mind says "DON'T DO IT!"

I might head to a couple different stores next week. This weekend I think I'll see if there are any good sales in the town I'm visiting on any of my stockpile stuff. And then I'll head to Aldi for pasta, spaghetti sauce, etc. Then my regular grocer for my meat/veggies.

That's all for tonight!
